In addition to her duties as MLA of Calgary-East, MLA Luff serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, the Standing Committee on Families and Communities and the Special Standing Committee on Members' Services.
MLA Luff holds a BSc from the University of Victoria and a BEd (Master of Teaching Program) from the University of Calgary.
Prior to her election, she worked as a teacher in the Calgary public school system and was an active volunteer for environmental, arts and community organizations.
She lives in Calgary with her family.
The riding of Calgary East stretches from 16th Avenue on the north to 26th and 17th Avenue on the south and from Deerfoot Trail on the west side to 68th Street on the east side.
The riding of Calgary East includes the communities of Mayland Heights, Alberta Park, Radisson Heights, Southview, Forest Heights, Marlborough, Marlborough Park and Penbrooke Meadows. Additionally the Franklin, Mayland and Meridian Industrial Parks are included in the riding.
Calgary East has a number of community associations and halls as well as parks and other recreational spaces. It is accessible by a number of Calgary Transit routes including: 1 – Forest Lawn, 26 – Dover, 42 – Marlborough, 45 – Abbeydale, 49 – Forest Heights, 51 – Penbrooke and the Blue Line LRT – Route 202.
